Little about me
I am an enthusiastic evolutionary biologist who works on the evolution of small insect physiology and the evolution of sexual dimorphism.
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow collaborating with Pr. Jacqueline Sztepanacz (https://sztepanacz.eeb.utoronto.ca) at University of Toronto. My current research focuses on the effect of the different components of the between-sex genetic matrix (B) within the sex-specific genetic matrix (Gfm) on the rate at which sexual dimorphism can evolve; in addition, I investigate the underlying genetic background of complex and multivariate phenotypes such as Drosophila wing morphology. Aside from my research, I enjoy being sassy with a glass of wine, eating my baguette and cheese as a real Frenchie, and having long discussions about nerdy to cultural subjects |
Statements and Opinions
I believe that diversity is a key element to build a better word and generate better science.
All color, shape, accent, origin, sexuality and gender matters !!! Difference is a strength, not a weakness. As a French Latino cis gay man, I support all minorities and encourage them to be part of the crazy academic world By the way, insects are interesting :) |
